Up on the 3th floor in the Musashi-Koyama area, BAR Belle offers a homely place to unwind behind its door. The bar strikes a comfortable, easygoing note, with a friendly master welcoming guests at the counter. It feels just as approachable for a solo visit as for a drink with friends.
A deep selection of sweet-potato shochu, from familiar labels to rarities
The bar’s shelves are lined with an impressive range of sweet-potato shochu. Start with approachable choices such as Kuro Kirishima and Tekkan Kuro, or try Daiyame, known for its bright, citrus-like aroma, and GODAI BEYOND, with its hint of pineapple. For a more leisurely tasting, the selection also includes celebrated labels from renowned shochu-making regions, such as Tomino Hozan, Mitake, Satsuma Chaya and Isami, as well as Maou, Ichidon and Mori Izo. There is plenty of choice to suit different tastes and moods.
Beyond shochu, the drinks list includes whiskies such as TWIN ALPS and HHAE, along with cocktails, beer, wine and other alcoholic drinks. A menu of small dishes is available to enjoy alongside your glass, making it easy to linger rather than stop in for just one drink.
The bar opens late and stays open until 5:00 the following morning, making it an option for an after-party once the last train has gone or for a late-night conversation. Shochu can be ordered by the shot, and electronic money and credit cards are accepted. It offers a relaxed place to settle in late at night in Musashi-Koyama.
